Create a resume correctly
A good resume includes contact information, a short profile or objective, work experience, education, skills, languages, relevant projects, certificates, and optionally hobbies. It is important that everything is clearly structured, up-to-date, and relevant to the position.
For beginners, usually one page is sufficient. With more experience, two pages are fine. The key is that the most important information is easily findable and not overshadowed by unimportant details.
ATS stands for Applicant Tracking System. Many companies use such systems to pre-sort applications. Use clear headings, real text content, and appropriate terms from the job advertisement so that your resume can be read well.
List position, employer, location, duration, and then the most important tasks and achievements. Better than a long list of tasks are concrete results, such as improvements, responsibilities, projects, numbers, or special achievements.
Small gaps are normal. Larger gaps should be explained honestly and calmly, for example through further education, job search, family time, caregiving, illness, travel, or reorientation. It is important to formulate this professionally and positively.
In Germany, a application photo is often customary but not mandatory. If you use a photo, it should be professional, current, and friendly. Without a photo, the template should still look clean and not display a placeholder.
List skills that truly match the position: programs, expertise, languages, methods, industry knowledge, and relevant soft skills. General terms work better when supported by concrete experiences.
Hobbies are voluntary. They can be meaningful if they show personality or fit the position. Very private, political, controversial, or inappropriate information should be omitted.
Editor & Templates
Open a template and click directly into the texts. You can change content, adjust sections, choose colors, set strengths or language bars, and in some templates, add a digital signature. Save regularly.
The marker shows you approximately where a new A4 page begins in the document or PDF. It is only a guideline in the editor and will not be included in the final PDF file.
Yes. Once your content is saved, you can open another template and continue working. Check the spacing and line breaks afterwards, as each template has its own design.
The color selection changes design accents such as lines, bars, markers, or headings. Additionally, highlighted text can be colored if the editor supports this feature.
The bars visually represent your level. Set them honestly and appropriately. In print and PDF, the bars should remain visible, but without sliders or percentage numbers.
Upload an image file of your signature, preferably PNG with a transparent background. The signature should be placed within the template so that it is included in the PDF and when printing.
Yes. Under "Cover Letter," you can enter the title, text, and signature for a cover letter. When downloading as a PDF, you can choose whether the cover letter should be inserted after the resume.
Yes. In the cover letter section, you can upload additional documents. PDFs or images will be inserted on new pages after the resume and cover letter during combined download.
Download, Pro & Payment
A watermark appears on paid templates when there is no active Pro access and no paid one-time download available. This allows the template to be tested without fully releasing it.
For this, you need either an active Pro access or a paid one-time download. After that, the selected premium template will be created without a watermark.
A one-time download allows a single download of a premium template without watermark. This is useful if you only need one application and do not want a longer Pro access.
With Pro, you can use and download premium templates without watermarks. Depending on the plan, access is active for a specific period.
After logging in, you will find your purchase history in your profile. There, saved purchases, pro status, download credits, and relevant payment information will be displayed.
Payment methods depend on the website settings and the activation with the payment provider. A checkmark in the website admin does not replace the external activation with Stripe or PayPal.
Yes, if a valid voucher is active and matches the chosen plan. The discount will be automatically applied in the payment area.
Account, security & privacy
You can view and test templates. An account is useful or required for saved resumes, Pro features, purchase history, profile, and later editing.
Use the password recovery. You will receive a one-time code via email. With this code, you can set a new password. The code is only valid for a short time.
The confirmation protects your account and ensures that important messages such as password resets, purchase status, or security notices go to the correct address.
Card numbers or complete payment details are usually processed directly by the payment provider. The website only stores necessary information such as plan, status, time, or download credits.
Yes. If you do not upload a profile picture, no substitute image will be used. Your profile will simply remain without an image.
If you are logged in and save, your resumes will be associated with your account. Without an account or without saving, content may be lost depending on the browser.
You can request deletion via the contact form or the privacy page. Please specify the affected email address and what exactly should be deleted.
